Richard Bagudu is a partner with Bagudu, Uba & Associates. He holds a doctorate degree in Commercial Law; a master of laws degree in Corporate Management and Finance Law; and a Master of Intellectual Property. Bagudu has over 29 years experience in legal practice. Prior to joining Bagudu, Uba & Associates, Bagudu was a solo practitioner engaged in the practice of personal injury and immigration law. He was also a Staff Attorney at the Washington DC office of WilmerHale, an international law firm as well as an in-house Counsel and Head, Legal and Insurance, at Elf Oil Nigeria Limited, a multi- national oil company (now TotalFina Nigeria Limited). A beneficiary of the Chevron National Competitive Scholarship Award (1987–1990), Bagudu, was the Editor-in-Chief of the Lawyers' Digest, a Bendel State University Law Journal, 1989-1990.

Vivien Uba is a partner in our litigation department. She brings a solid record of success in litigation practice. Experienced in both criminal and civil litigations, Uba has over 25 years experience in legal practice. Prior to joining Bagudu, Uba & Associates, Uba was a solo practitioner engaged in the general practice of law. After graduating from Law School, Uba worked as a Staff Attorney with the Orange County Legal Aid in New York. She also worked as an attorney in the law firm of Evan Enwerem in Lagos Nigeria.
Uba was the recipient of three awards for academic excellence; the CALI Excellence Awards for the best student in International Environmental Law; Professional Responsibility; and in Sentencing: The Criminal Justice System and Post Conviction Remedies.
In Law School, Uba was a Research Assistant with the National Energy Environmental Law and Policy Institute. For her work, she was acknowledged in the book, Guruswamy et al., International Environmental Law and World Order (1999). Uba has a JD from the University of Tulsa College of Law, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of Nigeria. She holds licenses to practice law in the States of New York, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
